5th Annual Motorcycle Race on October 21st!
The 5th Annual Sahara Sand Motorcycle Race, sanctioned as a national event by the American Motorcyclist Association (AMA) and billed as some of the best racing in the Eastern US, is slated to attract over 400 racers and 2,000 spectators on October 21, 2007 near Manahawken, NJ.
Sahara Sand annually makes available a portion of their property located in Eagleswood & Stafford Townships, NJ for this race to benefit the Eagleswood Volunteer Fire Company. The six-mile course winds through open fields, wooded areas, and a mix of challenging terrain.
“Last year’s event raised over $14,000 for the community’s critical needs”, said Larry Silvi. Commenting on this year’s event, Larry Silvi noted that the all-day race provides good fun for participants and spectators alike and gets the entire community to work toward a worthwhile goal; accordingly, “we fully expect to continue to host this race on an annual basis”.
