Concrete Masonry Units (CMU) wall systems typically require cores to be filled with ready-mix concrete. These concrete blocks–or cinder blocks have one or two holes to make the block weigh less. These block voids are then filled with blockfill concrete or flowable grout to strengthen and provide reinforcement to walls.
