Ground Granulated Blast Furnace Slag

GGBFS, commonly referred to as Slag Cement, is a supplementary cementitious material used in conjuction with Portland cement in ready-mix concrete. Slag is a byproduct from steel manufacturing, and its reuse in concrete contributes to lower CO2 emissions. Ready-mix concrete manufactured with Silvi Slag produces a more durable product, reduces the heat of hydration during curing, and also reduces heat-island effect in paving. Slag concrete is whiter in color compared to grey Portland cement concrete.
